It's already over, we should have a nominee by now?

I think this gent makes a valid point until you actually apply it to the current situation. I'm sure his theory would apply if you take away the health care issue, the war situation, and how the economy is dumping on itself.

Yeah, I completely agree. This guy is not taking into account how much of this election is about policy. It is not all about meticulous orginazation, you have to have policy convictions and an agenda that people believe in. But having said that, he makes a good point that the DNC needs to do something to start the process of mobilizing for the general election, because they will be falling well behind the RNC in this capacity, and will have to make up serious ground. On the other hand, the Dems are commanding all the headlines at this point, so the general population has a heightened awareness of the Democratic nominees' policies and agenda. Perhaps this increased media exposure somewhat offsets McCain getting a head start on his November campaign.
